BCC-FDU Transfer Partnership Highlights

  • The BCC-FDU Scholars Program provides the necessary support and administrative services for Bergen Community College students to transition seamlessly to Fairleigh Dickinson University. Students with an earned associate’s degree will receive full transfer credit for general education courses.
  • Each full-time transfer applicant is automatically considered for the annual transfer award up to $16,000 representing 50% of tuition.
  • Phi Theta Kappa members who graduate from a regionally accredited, two-year institution with an associate degree and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher automatically qualify for an additional $2,000.00 annual award. Applicants must provide proof of an earned associate degree and a copy of a PTK certificate.
  • Students who choose to live on campus receive an annual $1,500.00 housing grant and $1,500.00 award for being a “child of a FDU graduate”. In addition, a $1,000 transfer grant for applicants has been added on top of every other award.
  • Additional internal scholarships are available once you become part of the FDU family.
  • Includes 112 clubs and organizations with 44 Division 1 and Division 3 NCAA teams. With two New Jersey campuses, and two international campuses, FDU’s 12:1 student/faculty ratio. Have offices that address students with special needs or requests.

Transfer Programs

FDU offers more than 100 degree programs and concentrations in business, engineering, hospitality, sports administration, liberal arts, nursing, allied health, teacher prep/QUEST, and the sciences:

  • AA Degrees – liberal arts and sciences; Concentrations in English, Philosophy and Fine Arts. General Education will be met by the approved AA degree; however, two Core courses must be completed at FDU.Application fee waived.
  • AA Degree – Communication option. General Education will be met by the approved AA degree; however, three Core courses must be completed at FDU.Application fee waived.
  • AS Degree –Broadcast option. General Education will be met by the approved AA degree; however, three Core courses must be completed at FDU.Application fee waived.
  • AS Degree – Business Administration. General Education will be met by the approved AA degree; however, two Core courses must be completed at FDU. Application fee waived.
  • AS Degree- CriminalJustice. General Education will be met by the approved AA degree; however, three Core courses must be completed at FDU. Application fee waived.
  • AAS Degree- Business Technologies – Hotel/Restaurant/Hospitality-Catering and Banquet Option. AS Degree – Professional Studies, Hospitality Option
