Suicide Prevention Information

The Center for Collegiate Mental Health recently reported that 30% of college students had already considered suicide at some point in their lives and these numbers continue to rise. With the increased stressors that come with the transition to college, it’s no surprise that mental illnesses and suicides spike on campus. What is surprising, however, is that only 25% of college students seek help for their mental health problems.

In order to help college students, Best Colleges has created a comprehensive guide that aims to:

  • Lower the stigma associated with suicide, depression, and asking for help
  • Highlight suicide risk factors, warning signs, and high-risk populations
  • Identify helpful resources

Encourage self-help and other support strategies
