Pop music had the Jacksons. Country music has the Judds. And bluegrass has the McCourys. Members of the famous family – appearing as the Travelin’ McCourys – will visit Bergen Community College on Friday, November 6, 2009 for a 7:30 p.m. performance in the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre, located at 400 Paramus Road, Paramus. Tickets are $26 for adults and $24 for students, children (17 and under) and senior citizens (65 and over).
Featuring Ron and Rob McCoury (the sons of renowned bluegrass artist Del McCoury), Jason Carter and Alan Bartram, the group fuses traditional bluegrass (and instruments such as the mandolin, banjo, fiddle and bass) with jazz to create an energetic, exciting live performance.
The performance is part of Bergen’s “This & That from Here & There” Performing Arts Series. For ticket information or for a full schedule of events, please call Bergen’s Office of Community and Cultural Affairs at (201) 447-7428 or go to www.bergen.edu/cca
