I’ve made new friends and have participated in special events at the College, including graduation, academic awards, and Leadership and Diversity Weekends. As a student ambassador, I’ve also developed more confidence in myself because I’m entrusted with important responsibilities."

"As a student ambassador, I have learned many valuable lessons, including leadership skills. Dr. Ralph Choonoo introduced me to this worthwhile program. He provides students with the confidence that they need to succeed and teaches them the importance of helping other people."

"When I first came to Bergen in 2003, I never expected to become involved with the College’s activities. However, I became interested in becoming a student ambassador after I heard students talking about the benefits of the program. This has truly been a wonderful experience for me because I’ve become more responsible and grown as a person. I hope to apply these traits to future endeavors after I graduate."

"The Student Ambassadors Program has helped me become a more balanced and confident person. This program allows any individual to become more determined in lifes daily activities, and to develop key leadership skills. We are the image of the college, and our diverse group of student ambassadors feels like a family, creating friendships that could last for a lifetime. Im very happy to be a part of the Student Ambassadors Program thanks to Dr. Ralph Choonoo, who has taught us so much about leadership, responsibility, and to understand more about diversity.
Dr. Ralph Choonoo has taught us the meaning of diversity. Diversity gives one the opportunity to develop an appreciation for an exchange of dialogue about the details of ones life: ethnicity, religious orientation, sexual orientation, and an awareness of the key fact that we live in a global world."
