SGC Activities and Initiatives

• Develop closer working relationships with the Board of Trustees, the Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the County Executive.
   
• Plan and coordinate community and civic service activities and increase student participation.
   
• Promote fitness activities and sporting events.
   
• Build working relationships with all club presidents, executive board, advisors and promote participation.
   
• Help students become aware of scholarships available for academic achievement.
   
• Promote and support campus security, emergency response plans, the mandated smoking ban, and the recycling programs.
   
• Promote clean and good quality facilities for the College community.
   
• Advocate for the campus to be disability-friendly and provide accessibility.
   
• Advocate for healthy, quality, and affordable food services.
   
• Promote political awareness.
   
• In partnership with the College's student Clubs, promote events related to environmental and health issues (i.e., Bergen Goes Green conference, American Cancer Society walk, and Autism Awareness walk.)
   
• Promote student participation in the CERT training program.
