Council Activities
What is the Interim Council doing?
The interim College Council under the leadership of the Steering Committee has been working to flesh out the recommendations of the governance study group. One work group is drafting the constitution for Council. Another work group is developing nomination and election procedures. The sub-committees have been thinking through the specifics of their responsibilities and considering how best to coordinate with existing college departments and committees.
What will the elected College Council do?
The Council will review and make recommendations on issues of college-wide importance. The College Council will be a conduit for referring concerns of campus constituencies to the President. Each Council meeting will be open to the campus community and provide an opportunity for concerned campus citizens to give input.
