Gerard L. Carroll joined the Bergen Community College board of trustees April 5, taking the oath of office during a regular meeting of the institution’s governing panel. The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders unanimously appointed Carroll to the College’s board March 30. His term expires Oct. 31, 2019.
Carroll, of Hackensack, has worked as an educator with the Bergen County Technical Schools for nearly 30 years, starting as a drafting teacher and then becoming a program manager. Since 1996, Carroll has served as the district’s “school to careers” coordinator, helping bridge students’ academic pursuits with employment goals. Carroll attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Jersey City State College.
