Michael D. Redmond, Ph.D., was appointed president June 27, 2017.

Dr. Redmond, a former NISOD Excellence Award honoree for his commitment to teaching and student success, has served the institution in numerous roles since 1981. During his 36-year career at Bergen, which began as a philosophy and religion professor, Dr. Redmond has previously provided leadership as executive vice president and dean. As an early adopter of emerging information technology, his expertise led to additional roles outside the classroom such as chief information officer.

This dynamic – serving the institution in both academic and administrative capacities – has become the hallmark of Dr. Redmond’s career, dedicating his work to the advancement of the College, its students, faculty and staff.

Dr. Redmond earned his B.A. from Northeastern Bible College, an M.A. from Rutgers University and a Ph.D. from Drew University.
