Junior and Senior High School Students
The College Experience Program is intended as a mechanism for high school juniors and seniors with an overall grade point average of 3.0 to pursue advanced education at an early stage in their academic life.
Students completing their sophomore year can enroll in a summer session.
Eligible students will be permitted to take up to six (6) credits during the Fall or Spring semesters and up to eight (8) credits during the Summer sessions.
Notes: Some restrictions may apply and the student must get permission for each semester as a College Experience student.
Students must take the ACCUPLACER (basic skills test) and place into both English and math college level courses.
Students who have achieved certain scores on the SAT examination will be waived from taking the ACCUPLACER:
- If you have taken the SAT examination prior to March 2016 with a score of 530 or above in Math and/or 540 or above in Critical Reading (within five years).
- If you have taken the SAT examination since March 2016 with a score of 500 or above in Math and/or 450 or above in Evidence Based Reading & Writing (within five years).
