Junior and Senior High School Students
The College Experience Program is intended as a mechanism for high school juniors and seniors with an overall grade point average of 3.0 to pursue advanced education at an early stage in their academic life.
Students completing their sophomore year can enroll in a summer session.
Eligible students will be permitted to take up to six (6) credits during the Fall or Spring semesters and up to eight (8) credits during the Summer sessions.
Notes: Some restrictions may apply and the student must get permission for each semester as a College Experience student.
Students must take the ACCUPLACER (basic skills test) and place into both English and math college level courses.
Students who have achieved certain scores on the SAT examination will be waived from taking the ACCUPLACER:
- A score of 530 or above in Math (Algebra/Math placement test) on the SAT examination taken prior to March 2016 OR a score of 560 or above on the SAT examination completed since March 2016
- A score of 540 or above in Critical Reading (English placement test) on the SAT examination completed within five years.
