College Credits: 11 college credits can be earned for students that enroll in a degree seeking program.

Students will receive a comprehensive instruction to interpret, enforce, or manage construction documents, and monitor field conditions. This program educates attendees in construction processes and techniques to function in a support role to project architects, construction executives, engineers, contractors, contract administrators, material suppliers, installers, and industry manufacturers’ representatives. This course provides an overview of construction processes and related project documents for the commercial and industrial construction and related industries. Review the legal aspect of construction-related documents and the roles played by engineers, design professionals, construction managers, and other industry professionals.

Preparation for this professional exam is included, however, the exam is an option, not a program requirement. The individuals who successfully complete this program can advance the project team with their ability to read and understand construction documents, specifications, verify, document, and manage field conditions, contract requirements, change orders, review shop drawings, project submittals and track projects through their final punch list and closeout. Assistance with resume, job searches, and interviewing skills are included.
