DESCRIPTION:BCC Dance Professor Lynn Needle presents a discussion and video performance of “Orphic Descent\,” a pas de deux that fuses principles of contemporary dance\, yoga and theatrics in telling the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. Choreographed by Kent Lindemer and Lynn Needle\, the duet explores the myth\, experimenting with deep connection challenged by space\, drishti\, absence and the physics of partnering. The original sound score is by the late Dr. Dinu Ghezzo.
