DESCRIPTION:Cinema Ciccone presents the 2021 Silent Film Series with original live music\n“Gangster Classics of the Silver Screen”\n\nThe Ciccone Theatre’s Silent Film series is back\, with a mob of silent film offerings highlighting the golden age of gangster movies\, all streamed to you in the comfort of your own homes with new original live music. Presenting THE BLACK HAND\, from 1906\, the very first film about the mob. Directed by Wallace McCutcheon with cinematography by the legendary Billy Bitzer and starring Anthony O’Sullivan and THE MUSKETEERS OF PIG ALLEY\, from 1912\, the film was shot in Fort Lee\, NJ where many other early film studios in America’s first motion picture industry were based at the beginning of the 20th century. Directed by one of the most important and controversial figures in American Cinema\, D.W. Griffith\, the film stars the then superstar\, Lillian Gish. \n\nHosted by film\, stage\, & television star Tony Darrow\n(Goodfellas\, The Sopranos\, Analyze This\, Bullets Over Broadway\, Mickey Blue Eyes)\n\nOriginal score composed and performed by John La Barbera \nNo Admission charge.
