DESCRIPTION:BCC Women’s History Month welcomes Anuradha Bhagwati\, author of Unbecoming: A Memoir of Disobedience\, as keynote speaker. A Marine Corps veteran and bisexual woman of color\, Bhagwati writes with frankness and clarity about bucking the demands of strict Indian parents\, and confronting misogyny and racism in the military. She is the founder of Service Women’s Action Network\, (SWAN) which brings national attention to sexual violence in the military and helped repeal the ban on women in combat.
