Paramus, NJ –  Bergen’s Athletic Department is proud to announce that freshman, Melody Peralta, of Elmwood Park, earned Bergen’s Woman of the Year at the 37th annual celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, held at Seton Hall University on February 18, 2023.  Peralta is a three sport student-athlete (Volleyball/Basketball/Softball) with an excellent academic record.  She continues to represent Bergen as she is set to begin her softball career this spring.  She was one of 14 student-athletes in the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) to be honored by the New Jersey Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW).  Go Bulldogs!!!

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
