Paramus, NJ– Five weeks into the NJCAA season and The Bergen Bulldogs have some hot teams. Both Valorant (6-0) and FIFA2023 (5-0) are undefeated.

FIFA 2023Roberto Prado is current playing lights out and has won 5 games in a row in his first year with the Bulldogs and is ranked #1 in Group 1 out of 5 Groups. In his first Esport Collegiate win, he faced off against Filipe C from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. He then followed with big wins against Andy A (Nassau CC), Dylan B (Iowa Central Tritons), Carlos S (Hudson Valley CC) and Hugo R (Garden City CC). Prado will look to continue his fire against Kevin T (Dallas College) this weekend.

Valorant –  Sophomore, Sung Jae Kim is the Captain of the Valorant team. He has led Aaron Mata, Allan Lopez, DAndy DeLeon, and Francesco Safranko (Subs: David Kapelivich, Steve Chartoff and Luke Chandler) to an undefeated (6-0) record the past six weeks and are #1 in Group 3 of five other Groups.  The first win of the season came against region rival Union County College Owls, by the score of 2-0.  They then followed by defeating Northeast State CC (2-0), NMMI Broncos 2-0, Hawkeye CC:  RedTails, Calhoun CC: Warhawks, and Western Technical College: Cavaliers.  The Bulldogs look to continue their fire against Shawnee Saints next weekend.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
