  • The Office of Testing Services requires an emailed copy of your current semester accommodation.
  • Email your approved accommodation form to testoss@bergen.edu
  • If you have not received a current accommodation letter from the Office of Specialized Services.

Accommodated Tests Administration

  • All classroom, accommodated make-up exams and accommodated Accuplacer placement testing require an appointment.
  • Seating and services are limited.
  • All appointments should be made at least 48 business hours in advance.

Accommodated Testing – Frequently Asked Questions

I have an IEP and/or think I need testing accommodations. What should I do?

Students are required to visit the Office of Specialized Services (Room L-115) to obtain accommodations for testing and interpreter services.

What if I am late for my scheduled appointment?

 If you are going to be late for your scheduled appointment, you must email the Office of Testing Services at testoss@bergen.edu.

  • Students that arrive within 15 minutes of their scheduled appointment time may keep the appointment but will have the time deducted from the total appointment time.
  • Students that arrive after 15 minutes of their scheduled appointment time will need to reschedule.
  • Students that acquire more than three “Lates” without properly notifying the Office of Testing Services may have their services suspended.

What if I do not show up for my scheduled appointment?

Students that acquire more than two “No Shows” without properly notifying the Office of Testing Services may have their services suspended.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my scheduled appointment?

  • You can cancel or reschedule your testing appointment at least 24 business hours before your scheduled appointment.
  • To cancel or reschedule an appointment email the Office of Testing Services at testoss@bergen.edu

  1. If you are unclear about testing policies and procedures with accommodations, do not hesitate to contact us at 201-447-7203 or via email at testoss@bergen.edu
  2. The Office of Testing Services cannot answer specific questions over the phone about a student or the student’s examinations.
  3. All students must come to the office in room S-127 with government issued photo identification to receive specific information about an examination in The Office of Testing Services.
