Foundation Directory Online (available to BCC personnel only)
Contact the Grants Office to search this comprehensive directory of more than 70,000 foundation grant makers and over 200,000 grants, with searchable IRS 990 forms for each as well as links to free web resources. This is another excellent resource for BCC faculty and staff.

Excellent site, sponsored by the Northern California Community Foundation, providing links to most major foundations.

GuideStar
GuideStar, the national database of U.S. charitable organizations, provides data including financials, Form 990 and website on more than 850,000 IRS-recognized nonprofits.

RFP Bulletin
This Foundation Center service provides brief overviews of current funding opportunities offered by foundations or other grantmaking organizations. Keyword-searchable and organized by category.

Bergen County Economic Development Resources
The Bergen County Division of Economic Development County provides  information on general demographic characteristics, projections, housing data, income data, economic data, education, committing patterns, etc.

SAM Federal Assistance Listings (Formerly CFDA) 
Assistance listings are detailed public descriptions of federal programs that provide grants, loans, scholarships, insurance, and other types of assistance awards. You can browse assistance listings across all government agencies to learn about potential funding sources. 

Federal Grants Wire
Federal Grants Wire is a free resource for federal grants, government grants and loans. It currently offers over 1800 federal grants and loans organized by sponsoring agency, applicant type, subject area and a convenient directory if you are unsure which option is for you.

Federal Register
Official daily publication of rules and notices, including grants announcements, for federal agencies and organizations.  It can also be accessed via The Grantsmanship Center.

GPO Access
U.S. Government Printing Office website provides free electronic access to a wealth of information products (official versions) produced by the federal government, including the Federal Register, Congressional Record, Congressional Bills, and more.Grants.gov

Grants.gov
Grants.gov is the best way to learn about available (current and forecasted) federal funding opportunities.  The site centralizes more than 1,000 different grant programs across federal grant-making agencies, and standardizes grant information, application packages and processes for finding and applying for federal grants.  It also hosts a Grant Learning Center that provides on-line resources on grant processes as well as grant writing tips

Library of Congress
LOC, the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution, preserves a collection of nearly 121 million items. As well as serving the research needs of the U.S. Congress, the LOC has extensive resources available in all languages, topics and types of materials.
