Bergen Alumna Introduces President Biden in Rose Garden Event
Bergen Community College alumna Kezia Rodriguez (’22) served as an invited guest of the White House, providing an introduction for President Joe Biden during a Rose Garden executive order signing. The White House hosted the event to spotlight the president’s announcement of new programs that expand care and assistance for children, seniors, people with disabilities and caregivers.

Recent graduate Rene Bulnes has earned the $55,000 per year Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship – the most prestigious honor for community college students.
Parting Gift: Recent Grads Receive $10k Scholarship
Just hours after becoming newly minted Bergen Community College graduates earlier this month, students Yoav Aharon and Mana Mehdizadeh learned they would each receive a $10,000 scholarship through Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society of junior colleges.
Jump For Joy: Bergen Athlete National Triple Jump Champ
Bergen Community College student-athlete Kaden Stevens won the NJCAA national championship in the triple jump.
12 Teams Advance to “Innovation Challenge” Finals
Bergen’s electric go-kart development team is a finalist in the Community College Innovation Challenge, a national competition sponsored by the American Association of Community Colleges in partnership with the National Science Foundation. The 12 finalists will travel to Washington, D.C. in June to present their STEM-based solutions to real-world problems.
