- Purpose: The program, operated by Bergen Community College’s Ciarco Learning Center in Hackensack, supports the development, implementation and improvement of adult education and literacy services to assist adults to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency. The program assists adults who are parents to obtain the skills necessary to become partners in the education of their children and helps adults in the completion of a secondary school education. The program also helps adults with limited English language proficiency.
