Professor Wiles has experience in research, industry, teaching and outreach. Research includes plant breeding in ornamental and edible crops. The primary industry experience is in both retail and wholesale marketing and management. Outreach work is represented through teaching, consulting and volunteer management. She teaches Plant Science, Plant Propagation, Pests of Ornamental Plants, Horticulture Marketing & Sales, Fundamentals of Horticulture, People/Plant Relationships and General Botany. She assists Dr. Fischer in coordinating the Horticulture program and is also chair of the BCC Horticulture Advisory Committee and the Horticulture web site manager.
