The Center for Food Action (CFA)/ Bergen Cares Center Pantry is here for Bergen Community College students, faculty, and staff in need of food and other emergency services.

Program Rules and Eligibility Process

The CFA Bergen Cares Center Pantry is available to all current Bergen students, Staff, and Faculty regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or disability.

Our services are provided by appointment with the Pantry Coordinator, however walk-ins are accepted. Visitors to the pantry will complete intake forms and meet with the Pantry Coordinator or Pantry representative to determine the type of assistance required.

In addition to food resources, The Bergen Cares Center may collaborate with The Center for Food Action and other community resources to provide utility and rental assistance.

Pantry hours

  • Monday – Friday: from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • The hours of operation are subject to change.


If you require assistance and the pantry is closed, feel free to choose one of the following options:
Option 1:  Visit the Center for Health, Wellness and Personal Counseling located in Room HS-100, Pitkin Education Center, at the College’s main campus in Paramus, NJ, or
Option 2: Visit the Center for Food Action ( and follow the “Get Assistance” link for instructions.

SNAP Announcement

A representative from The Bergen County Board of Social Services will be available by appointment on Thursday January 20, 2022 and Friday February 8, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. to assist students to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and respond to questions regarding other services provided by the Board of Social Services.
