PARAMUS, N.J. – As part of Women’s History Month, women musicians will perform the work of women composers during Ars Electronica’s “Beautiful Women, Beautiful Music: The Nature of Aesthetics” concert at Bergen Community College.

Directed by Bergen professor Linda Marcel, the performance scheduled for Thursday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the College’s Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre at its main campus, 400 Paramus Road, spotlights musical compositions with a “woman’s touch.” Featured artists include Sabrina Dente and Annamaria Garibaldi of Duo Maclé, a four-hand piano duo; Natalia Benedetti, a distinguished award-winning clarinetist; and Shahla Nikfal, a world-traveling qanun performer.

Proceeds from the annual event benefit a scholarship fund established in honor of Dr. Ron Mazurek, a deceased Bergen faculty member, musician and music professor. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for senior citizens and Bergen staff and $5 for the College’s students.
