PARAMUS, N.J. – A renewed commitment to programs providing career pathways remains the theme of the Bergen Community College Division of Continuing Education, Corporate and Public Sector Training’s fall 2014 offerings.

Emerging synergies enable students to transfer qualifying continuing education coursework into some Bergen associate degree and certificate programs, creating a pipeline between continuing education and credit-bearing classes.

Among the connected career offerings, the Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate program prepares students for childcare careers – and a nationally recognized CDA field credential. Upon completion of Bergen’s continuing education CDA program, students can enroll in the College’s associate in applied science early childhood education program already holding at least nine credits toward the degree. Similar arrangements exist with continuing education’s advanced manufacturing programs. A program linking continuing education to a new associate degree fashion design program should launch in 2015.

Continuing education also offers a variety of courses and certifications in areas such as health professions, construction, computers and world languages. For more information, or to view the complete fall 2014 catalog, visit bergen.edu/continuinged or call (201) 447-7488.
