Bergen Community College student, Rebekah Dejesus, is enrolled in the Hotel, Restaurant and Management program where she is studying baking and pastry arts to pursue a career as a gluten free bakery owner. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK).
“I chose Bergen not only for the rave reviews I heard regarding the culinary program, but also the accessibility,” said Dejesus.
When asked about what has made her successful at Bergen, Dejesus said, “Without a doubt, the leadership and professors that not only teach, but motivate and guide to whatever your goals may be.” She expects to graduate in 2023.
Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
