PARAMUS, N.J. – Before “American Idol” and “The Voice,” there was “The Gong Show.” And it’s coming to Bergen Community College.

A live, stage version of the zany, 1970s talent show will play two nights in the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre this month – Friday, Sept. 16 and Saturday, Sept. 17. Both performances will take place in the theatre, located at 400 Paramus Road, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for general admissions. Senior citizens and College faculty, staff and students receive discounts. To purchase tickets, visit tickets.bergen.edu or call (201) 447-7428.

A Radiochick Production, in association with Sony Television Pictures, this official off-Broadway adaptation of the television show comes to Bergen after a successful three-year stint in New York City.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls 15,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
