PARAMUS, N.J. – Blue states, red states and colors in-between provide the backdrop for an upcoming Gallery Bergen art exhibition on this year’s presidential election. “Art VOTES: Visualizing the Democratic Process” will open Tuesday, Sept. 20 in Gallery Bergen, located in West Hall at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road. The exhibition will run through Friday, Nov. 11. An opening reception celebrating the installation will take place Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gallery. The event is free and open to the public.

“Art VOTES” features the work and commentary of 23 artists from across the country – including a noted political cartoonist for a major metropolitan news service – who submitted their art to the College’s gallery committee this summer. Mediums such as paintings, photographs, sculpture and video comprise the exhibition on the process to elect the next U.S. president.
