FirstDay1672

PARAMUS, N.J. – Rain didn’t dampen the excitement of the first day of the fall semester at Bergen Community College, the state’s No. 1 institution for associate degree graduates. Once on campus, more than 14,000 students discovered a number of new resources, most notably the Health Professions Integrated Teaching Center, which opened shortly before commencement in May. The facility, constructed as part of the Building Our Future Bond Act approved by New Jersey voters, includes a first-floor dental hygiene laboratory and other classrooms supporting Bergen’s region-leading health professions programs. Additional slates of fall classes begin Sept. 21 and Oct. 26 for students who may have missed the Sept. 1 start date.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 14,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
