PARAMUS, N.J. – Registration for winter and spring classes at Bergen Community College – including for visiting students enrolled full-time at four-year institutions and home for winter break – has opened.

For the first time, the winter session, which allows students to complete a three-credit course in as few as 10 days in the classroom, will take place at all Bergen locations: its main campus in Paramus, Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst, the Philip J. Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and online. Classes offered include general education staples such as English Composition I and General Psychology ideal for transfer to other schools. Winter classes begin Jan. 3, 2015.

Meanwhile, the spring schedule features three start dates: Jan. 20, 2015, Feb. 10, 2015 and March 24, 2015. Current students can continue their progress toward graduation and new students attending Bergen for the first time are welcome to apply.

Bergen offers more than 140 degree and certificate programs, flexible schedules, financial aid options and transfer opportunities. More students graduate with associate degrees from Bergen than any other New Jersey college. The region’s leader in healthcare education, Bergen will soon open the Health Professions Integrated Teaching Center and recently received a $15 million federal grant to lead a consortium of partners to educate, train and place approximately 2,000 students in healthcare jobs. Additionally, the National College Learning Center Association ranked Bergen’s tutoring center as the best two-year institution resource in the U.S. – the first time a New Jersey college or university has secured the honor.

To register for classes, visit room A-128 in the Pitkin Education Center at the main campus, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus; room LYN-116 at Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands, 1280 Wall Street West, Lyndhurst; the main lobby at the Philip J.
