Mahek ShahBergen Community College exercise science student Mahek Shah aspires to become a physical therapist and earn her doctorate in physical therapy one day. When asked why she chose Bergen, Shah said, “Bergen Community College has a great campus and faculty along with numerous clubs and sports that I can be a part of.”

She is an active member of the dance club serving as social media coordinator for the student organization. When asked about what has made her successful at Bergen, Shah said, “Being open minded and willing to learn.” Keeping this open mindset, she plans to try out for Bergen’s volleyball team.

Shah said, “Being involved in the events happening around the college campus has helped me to connect with my peers and the faculty.” She plans to graduate in 2024.        Mahek Shah

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
