STEM Program: Cryptology Workshop – 30 minutes per workshop – Beginner Level
The STEM Program is offering a free student managed Cryptology Workshop. Cryptography is the practice of using mathematical and computational techniques to protect information and enable secure communication.
Over six workshops, students will learn beginner concepts in the field of Cryptology such as monoalphabetic substitution ciphers, polyalphabetic substitution ciphers, frequency analysis, and the basic applications of mathematical principles in Cryptosystems. Some ciphers this class will cover include Aristocratic Substitution Ciphers, the Vigenère Cipher, and the Affine Cipher.
Workshop Schedule:
WHEN: Tuesdays Beginning October 15th. Workshops will be every Tuesday until November 19th
