The Seas Are Rising is a concert experience calling attention to the urgency of the climate crisis, with the goal of spreading awareness through entertaining music, lyrics, visuals, and discussion on the need for immediate action to curb the devastating effects of climate change.  Songs about people around the world already facing extreme consequences of climate change, from floods to droughts, from fires to intensified hurricanes, from the Americas to Europe, Asia, and Africa, tell the story that the time for climate action is NOW, combined with a message of hope that we can come together and demand action from our leaders. The Seas Are Rising is written by Bergen Community College music professor Dan Sheehan, and is performed by a band featuring various faculty and area musicians.
