The Bergen Alumni Theatre troupe will present a production of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the Ender Hall Lab Theatre at Bergen Community College’s main campus in Paramus (400 Paramus Road). The production takes place in collaboration with the College’s Bergenstages thespian group.
Directed by Ray Parente, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” follows the misadventures of four young lovers, a group of aspiring actors and a team of fairies as they all enter the woods outside Athens on a summer night. In this retelling of the classic story, 1988 Athens, Georgia replaces Athens, Greece.
Performances take place on Friday, June 2, Saturday, June 3, Thursday, June 8, Friday, June 9, and Saturday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances take place Saturday, June 3 and Saturday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m.
