Career Paths

The professional studies Associate of Science degree (A.S.)- Business Administration option and the Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.) with options in accounting, banking and finance, or management information systems is designed to provide students with the coursework needed to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a bachelor’s degree in business or business administration. The curriculum provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a pathway to careers in business including business manager, operations manager, administrative assistant, executive assistant, and other positions. Students can take coursework and concentrated options in general business administration, accounting, banking and finance, international trade, management, and marketing. Students are strongly encouraged to consult with Bergen Community College faculty and Career Services as they begin to explore career options.

Transfer Opportunities

Students pursuing the professional studies Associate of Science degree (A.S.) in business administration and the Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.) with options in accounting, banking and finance, or management information systems can transfer into majors, such as business, business administration, accounting, banking and finance, international trade, management, and marketing. Students are encouraged to work closely with Bergen Community College faculty and Advising Transfer Services.
