2025-2026 Common Read: We’re Not Broken: Changing the Autism Conversation, by Eric Garcia
The Bergen Community College Common Read will address questions about autism from a variety of perspectives. We will explore what it is like to be an autistic person from the perspective of Eric Garcia, author of We’re Not Broken: Changing the Autism Conversation. Using his skills as a Washington journalist, Garcia’s 2021 book covers the politics of disability helping readers to better understand controversies surrounding neurodiversity in America today.
