ESL Summit in Higher Education: Pathways to Student Success

April 24 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
General Event Graphic for Admissions

Educators who are seeking skills to support students learning English can find their path at the ESL Summit in Higher Education: Pathways to Student Success.

For many students, learning English as a second language while navigating class assignments and outside jobs can be challenging. This summit will provide faculty with the skills needed to mentor and encourage ESL students as they work toward their degree.

Keynote speaker Julia Raufman is a research associate at the Community College Research Center at Teacher’s College in Columbia University. With her experience, Raufman and the event leaders will help educators create a safe space for ESL students while paving their paths to success.

The summit will take place at Bergen Community College’s Moses Family Meeting and Training Center (TEC-128) on Friday, April 24. RSVP here by Tuesday, March 10.
