Featuring the music of composers murdered or suppressed before and during the Holocaust, “Voices Lost” includes their final works before deportment, imprisonment and murder in concentration camps. The music illustrates the influences on classical music composed at the end of the 1930s as well as how the artists continued their creative path despite the looming threat of the Nazi Holocaust.
Flutist Dr. Carol Shansky will also provide a lecture and question-and-answer session as part of the event on Wednesday, November 6 at 12:30 p.m. in the West Hall Recital Hall.
