Why Use Lucid?

Lucid for Education is a suite of visual applications available in Canvas to help students understand their own thinking and actively participate in learning process.  It has two applications Lucidspark and Lucidchart. With Lucidspark, students and teachers can whiteboard together in real time from any location. With Lucidchart, users can explain complex processes using symbols, lines and arrows.

What can I do with Lucidspark and Lucidchart?

  • Virtual Whiteboard to ideate and collaborate online such as Project planning, Meeting facilitation.
  • Flowcharts to improve and communicate often complex processes in clear, easy-to-understand diagrams such as Decision or System Flowchart
  • Mind maps to brainstorm ideas and visual representations such as Sunburst chart or Spider diagram
  • Concept maps to visualize relationships between various concepts and test understanding of complex subjects such as Hierarchical structure or Parking lot

Are there any tutorials?

A series of short tutorials for embedding content, setting up assignment and initiating collaborative activities are available on Lucid in Canvas site.
