Due to the state of emergency declared by Acting Gov. Tahesha Way in advance of potential severe weather this afternoon, all Bergen Community College locations and offices will close today at 4:30 p.m. All classes, events and activities scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. or later are cancelled.

Members of the Office of Public Safety will remain on campus after 4:30 p.m., and any student, faculty, or staff member may shelter in place during the potential severe weather.

Operations scheduled to take place on Friday, August 1 will proceed as planned.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
