PARAMUS, N.J. – More than 260 Bergen Community College students joined one of the region’s top three Phi Theta Kappa chapters during an evening ceremony Nov. 18. The high-achieving inductees became members of the Alpha Epsilon Phi chapter, which features more than 1,000 current students. Members earn entry by maintaining high GPAs and completing community service projects. Professor Win Win Kyi, of Hackensack, and administrative adviser Angie Goldzsmidt, of Cresskill, serve as co-advisers.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls 16,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
