The region’s only Health Professions Integrated Teaching Center, dedicated specifically to the instruction of health careers, remains under construction at the main campus. The three-story facility will open next year.

Additionally, late last year, the federal government chose the College to direct a consortium of 12 two-year colleges, more than 20 employers and 10 workforce investment boards as part of a $15 million job-training grant to fund a regional healthcare career pathways system. The College expects to prepare more than 2,000 people for entry into new careers.

Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu) based in Paramus is a public two-year coeducational college, enrolling nearly 16,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip J. Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst.
