PARAMUS, N.J. – A tribute to the pioneers of live electronic music, Bergen Community College's Ars Electronica series presents “RTE: Real Time Electronica,” Thursday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre at the College's main campus in Paramus located at 400 Paramus Road.
The Ars Electronica concert series was founded by the late Dr. Ron Mazurek – composer, performer and professor of electronic music. Directed this year by Bergen professor Patrice DeVincentis, the annual event raises funds for the Ron Mazurek Music Technology Scholarship Fund. This year's installment features artists Don Slepian, an electronic keyboardist performing original classically styled music on computer instruments of his own design; Neil Nappe, notable for his work with guitar synthesis – including a self-made Gibson Les Paul MIDI guitar; and the Le Jazz Electronique duo consisting of keyboardist Neil Alexander and saxophonist Peter Furlan, who explore the connections between modern jazz and other musical forms including hip hop, ambient and progressive rock.

Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst.
