Bergen Community College alumnus Eugene Woo studied business administration to become an investment banker.
“As a student who majored in business administration with plans of transferring to a four-year institute, Bergen’s affordable and outstanding education, multitude of extracurricular opportunities, and strong credit transferability made it an exceptional start to my academic and professional endeavors,” said Woo.
Woo, of Mahwah, was one of 10 student interns in the inaugural data analyst program under the College’s Bergen for Business workforce development initiative. Through the program, he obtained hands-on experience and knowledge in data analytics.
“Being a part of the Data Analytics and Dashboard Program and being a Size Up Small Business Consultant intern plays a crucial role in achieving my career goals,” said Woo. “I actively work with small businesses, communicating, determining and implementing optimal solutions that suit their needs.”

Gaining in-depth training on programs including Microsoft Excel and communicating with local business owners helped Woo become a high-level professional in the finance industry. Woo’s experience has developed through the roles he held as co-founder of Bergen’s Investment Club and the secretary for Business Leaders of America.
“I attribute my academic success to Bergen’s dedicated faculty, extracurricular opportunities, and collaborative and friendly environment, as it has advanced my leadership and practical skills,” he said.
Woo graduated in 2025.
