“Personal Effects: Works by Gregg Biermann” Opening Reception

Gallery Bergen will open its fall season with “Personal Effects: Works by Gregg Biermann,” featuring video installations and still images created across three decades. The exhibition opens on September 18 at 6 p.m. in Gallery Bergen (West Hall, 3rd floor), and will screen Professor Biermann’s film “Personal Effects,” a rotoscopic meditation on his near-death experience in 2024.
Explore the ways in which Biermann distorts iconic images from classic Hollywood films in an intriguing way, forcing you to look into the image’s deeper meaning.
