PARAMUS, N.J. – Bergen Community College’s main campus went to the dogs September 25. Greyhound Friends of New Jersey Inc., a nonprofit organization raising awareness about the mistreatment of racing dogs, visited with students, faculty and staff at the event. Professor Harold Kahn (pictured), of Washington Township, who has organized the event for the past 10 years, works with Greyhound Friends to bring the dogs – and their owners – on campus to share adoption stories.

PARAMUS, N.J. – Call it a “healthy” start. More than 100 Bergen Community College students, faculty, staff and guests gathered this morning to witness the groundbreaking of the $26 million Health Professions Integrated Teaching Center at the school’s main campus. The building represents the College’s capital improvement project as part of the $750 million Building our Future Bond Act, approved by New Jersey voters in the November 2012 elections. All bond act projects must expand a school’s academic capacity and have a direct impact on student instruction.
