To receive Accommodations for the Accuplacer Test, and Accuplacer Test only, you must receive an Eligibility Letter as part of the Student Eligibility Process.
In order for students to ensure eligible accommodations are available for the Accuplacer; documentation must be submitted as early as possible as it can take within four to six weeks to complete the Student Eligibility Process.
ONCE your Intake Form and Documentation has been reviewed and any eligible accommodations have been granted, you will receive an Eligibility Letter sent to your Bergen student email ( ends in …@me.bergen.edu).

Please note, an Eligibility Letter is NOT THE END of the Student Eligibility Process.
Scheduling an Accommodated Testing
You will need an Accommodation Letter for you to be able to schedule an accommodated Accuplacer/placement test.
To receive your Accommodation Letter you must do the following:
1 – Attend an Accommodation Workshop;
2 – Sign the Student Agreement Form, and
3 – Check your Bergen student Email to retrieve your Accommodation Letter (normally only sent to your Bergen student email).
ONCE you receive your Eligibility Letter please forward it to Testing Services at [email protected] and reach out to Testing Services to schedule your Accuplacer Test.

Accommodations for Placement Testing
Available Accommodations for Placement Testing include:
- Extended Time;
- Calculator;
- Reader;
- Scribe;
- Assistive Technology (JAWS and ZoomText only);
- Sign Language Interpreter.
Sign Language Interpreter Request for Placement Testing
To request a Sign Language Interpreter for the Placement Test please email [email protected] with your name, BCC student ID, date and time you plan to take the test.
