PARAMUS, N.J. – Representatives from Alzheimer’s New Jersey recognized members of the Bergen Community College student government association senate March 2 with the “2015 school spirit award” for their fundraising efforts in the fight to end the disease that impacts 5.3 million Americans. Collecting more than $3,000 in donations, the student leaders ranked as the top school team in the Northern Regional Walk competition, which took place in October 2015. More than 3,000 walkers participated in the event held at the institution’s main campus.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls 15,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
