PARAMUS, N.J. – As part of the institution’s 50th anniversary celebration, Bergen Community College hosted more than two dozen elected officials for “A Legislative Lunch” April 12 at its main campus to strengthen ties with its federal, state, county and municipal officials. The event featured a discussion on the mission of community colleges like Bergen, lunch prepared by culinary students and tours of the College’s campus. Bergen President Michael D. Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017-18, enrolls more than 14,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
