Bergen Community College alumna Jennifer Barrera, ’24, studied business administration. Barrera’s goal was to work with a network of diverse group of people in her future.
“I chose Bergen Community College because of its welcoming foundation and familiar roots,” said Barrera.
Barrera was a student staff worker and a member of the Latin American Student Association (LASA). When reflecting upon what has made her successful at Bergen, she felt having a “strong support system” helped her success.
Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 24,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
