Bergen Community College student, Jordan Bittan, is studying criminal justice to achieve his career goal to become an FBI special agent.
“I chose Bergen Community College for its strong academic foundation, supportive environment, and opportunities for meaningful involvement,” said Bittan, of Tenafly. “It has allowed me to pursue my academic goals while developing as a leader and actively contributing to both the campus and the surrounding community.”
As an active student leader at Bergen, Bittan serves as president of the Criminal Justice Club and vice president of Hillel. As president of the Criminal Justice Club, he has brough educational demonstrations to the Bergen Campus. For example, the club has hosted speakers from Bergen County law enforcement and K-9 demonstrations for students to learn about the criminal justice field.
“The criminal justice field means dedicating myself to service, integrity, and the protection of others,” said Bittan. “It provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in my community while upholding the values of professionalism, accountability, and public trust.”
He is also a member of the College’s two-year Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) and the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). Involved in the community, Bittan is an active member of the Bergen County Shomrim Watch (BCSW), an organization that protects and supports the safety of Bergen County’s Jewish community.
“My success at Bergen Community College has been driven by my commitment to staying involved, taking on leadership roles, and maintaining a strong work ethic,” he said. “By actively participating in campus organizations and engaging with my community, I have been able to grow both academically and personally while making the most of the opportunities available to me.”
He expects to graduate in 2027.
