Business Owner of J Cosmetics

In recognition of National Business Women’s Day (September 22, 2020), Bergen recognized alumna Juliana Pinto, ’20. After graduation, Pinto created a cosmetics business called J Cosmetics where she sells vegan and cruelty free, handmade nourishing lip-gloss and easy-to-use eyelash strips. Pinto operates the business herself in between working three jobs and continuing her education at Kean University. As she continues to grow her product line and her small business, Pinto said, “My small business is my passion and seeing my customers happy with my products is everything to me. I am so grateful for my education that I worked for during my time at Bergen Community College because without it, I would not have been able to successfully create, manage, and run my own business today.”

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
